We like to tie up loose ends when we can, so here's the much belated answer to that stumper of a BuildingSpotter (detail at right): It's Holy Family Church, sometimes known as the United Nations parish. It's in Turtle Bay at 315 East 47th St., facing Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, on the same block as the Japan Society. The Modernist structure was built in the mid-'60s, and designed by one George J. Sole, who seems to be remembered chiefly for his work on it. Photo and answer by WhatISee.
