Williamsburg's Finger Building, where construction has been halted ever since our Sketchy Rumor™ miraculously turned out to be true, may be getting significantly scaled down. The Daily News reports that developer Mendel Brach has submitted revamped plans to reduce the condo development's height from 16 stories to 10 stories. The zoning issue relates to the Finger's use of a rooftop of a neighboring warehouse. The warehouse's owner says he never sold them the rights to do so, and without the open space required by city rules to build ugly tall buildings, Brach can only build up to 10 stories. A huge change, but not as huge as it may get: opponents want the whole project killed.
