After it was sold back in October we speculated on the next act for the Sullivan Street Playhouse, the long-time home of the musical The Fantasticks. As expected, the former theater, located at 181 Sullivan Street, will be the site of a new condo building (pictured at right), featuring four "fantastic" units. Other details are sparse and the website is still under construction, so no word yet on when this show is expected to premiere.
This makes one less building near Washington Square which can be owned by NYU, so if nothing else, at least some people will be happy.
