When The Cellar bar on 14th Street closed two weeks ago, enthusiasts mourned. In an effort to put the painful past behind everyone, the new team is already hammering and sawing away on the inside. A few days after the shuttering, a sign went up on the front door unveiling what's to come from the step-below-street-level space. Looks like Manhattan is catching on to a Williamsburg trend (wouldn't be the first time, eh? Eh?)?free pizza with drink purchase. This tasty freebie has been made popular by such establishments as Capone's and?suspicious!?the Alligator Lounge. Something tells us lawyers have been contacted. In a telling sign of the bar's future, the Crocodile Lounge has already been added to Dodgeball.
