Alas, Conde Nast staffers exhibited relative restraint in response to the Times' effort to get them to bitch and moan about the view-blocking erection rising across the street at One Bryant Park (see, e.g., "I've been lucky to have the view I've had." Boo!) We did, however, learn the new building may swallow New Yorker staffer and CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin: "The hook of the crane comes so close to my window that I'm convinced it's going to break through and drag me to my death," Toobin told the Times.
