Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Denzel Finds Religion

1) Denzel Washington -- not a Scientologist -- is apparently looking at this space at Novare, the West 4th St. church-turned-luxominiums. The apartment, which has 23-ft ceilings and a 600sqft terrace, is listed at $5.96 million. [Keil/Gimme Shelter]
2) From the Annenbergs, the family that brought us Seventeen magazine, and some works of far lesser import, two glistening $27.5 million apartments for sale: one at 640 Park, and the other in contract at 740 Park. The apartments were the homes of Evelyn Annenberg Jaffe Hall (who died in April at 93) and Enid Annenberg Haupt (in October at 99). The apartment of a third sister, who died in 1997 at 93, previously sold for a mere $10.9 million. Every family has its black sheep. [William Neuman/Big Deal]
3) The news from 485 Fifth Ave.: sales prices are up and Salman Rushdie is "poring over plans." Nothing like a little fatwa to really motivate buyers. [Keil/Gimme Shelter]
4) Scraping bottom here: Jeremy Sisto, who played Brenda's brother on Six Feet Under, is renting a 1BR at Clinton West for $4000. He may or may not be bringing his dog. Robledo/NYMag]
