The Marcel Hotel at 24th Street and 3rd Ave. is best known either for being the former home of the lounge Spread or the current home of the restaurant Gramercy 24. Not exactly a high Q-Rating. However, it appears someone may have bigger things in mind. We haven't a clue as to the nature of this construction, so we turn to you, dear readers: Does anyone know what's going here?
