1) Proposed changes in Albany to state liquor license laws has local champion of nightlife owner rights, David Rabin (of Double Seven and Lotus fame), so mad that he has refused to remove his pinkie from the Shift key.
2) Speaking of liquor license woes, things aren't looking good for Cercle Rouge, which had promise of Tribeca's Balthazar when it opened in the fall.
3) Hot week for openings: Frankie's Sputino 17 Clinton, Aussie meat pies, and Dressler.
