Sugar Rush: M&Ms to Invade Hershey's Territory

While the Grocery Wars rage down around Union Square/14th Street, there appears to be a new front opening up near the top of Times Square in the battle to win over tourists' collective sweet tooth. The Post has it that Mars is stocking the bottom row of the big glass vending machine that is 1600 Broadway with its M&Ms World attraction: "The space includes a grand 48th Street glass entrance that wraps both corners around Broadway and Seventh Avenue and the entire, equally window-walled second-story." This location just happens to be right across Broadway from the Hershey's outpost, already prominently featured in ads for the condos at 1600 B'way. Chocoholics are advised to avoid this corner of town.
