Tribecans might be interested to learn that the desolate, fenced-off wasteland that is currently piers 25 and 26 (seen above in mid-winter gloom) should be seeing some fresh driving of custom-made piles before the new month is out, according to the Downtown Express. Illuminating quote: "They don’t have a pile of piles sitting around." It's all part of preliminary work to build the Tribeca segment of Hudson River Park, which should be ready by 2008.
