More of this week's good dish from the Curbed/SLNY NYC restaurant blog Eater...

1) Le Cirque opening hangover observation #5: "The carpeting throughout skits a fine line between luxuriously thick and difficult to traverse; women in heels will find tables closest to the door particularly appealing for this reason."
2) East 4th Street's no-liquor E.U. is now no-food as well. The resto is temporarily closed.
3) Del Posto is safe for today. Batali's Italian palace gets a preliminary injunction in state court, which should keep the MePa crowd in top-shelf offal for at least another month. Also: last week's mystery of a coin-dump on the MePa paving stones is solved.
4) Freeman's renovation update: "US Fish & Wildlife has released three of our nine seized Victorian bird boxes from Cornwall. The Magpie, Blue Heron, and Red Kite are being enshrined in the new tavern back bar as we speak while their feathered kin languish in the clutches of US Marshall's in a Raider's of the Lost Ark style warehouse somewhere near JFK."
