Ex-Prison Going Condo on Mount Morris Park West

A former Rumblings topic and the last untouched building on a block of Mount Morris Park West in Harlem that had become known as the Ruins until most of the brownstones were rehabed into luxury condos is ... going the way of its brethren, according to a "Talk of the Town" piece in the New Yorker this week, which highlights the somewhat bemoaned transition of Parkside Correctional Facility, at the corner of West 121st Street, into the 10 Mount Morris Park West Condominium ("most of the [eight] Mount Morris con-dominiums will list for more than a million dollars"). Among the tips offered for converting an ex-penal institution into luxury loft homes:
