Greenpoint Burning: Charting the Destruction

From blogger GrubbyKid comes this fascinating overhead of the Greenpoint fire's wrath: "Here's an aerial from Live Local highlighting the area which seems to have been destroyed as of this morning during the Greenpoint Terminal Market fire. I will update this montage as more reports come in." He also posted the photo to the Curbed Photo Group; click through then click on the photo to see pix from selected angles.

As of 5:30pm today, the fire is under control, though firefighters are expected to continue to douse hot spots through the night. Sez CBS2, "After two days of continuous smoke, there was concern by area resident over air quality. Yet fire officials said it's not dangerous." Alrighty!
