Michael Calderone reports in today's Manhattan Transfers that record exec Alan Meltzer is selling his 50th floor penthouse at One Beacon Court, despite never even getting a chance to enjoy the views through those 14-foot floor-to-ceiling windows. Meltzer never moved in to the five-bedroom, 8,700-square-foot space, and he's looking to make a gentleman's $4 million on the quick flip by pricing it at $31.25 million. Hey, nobody gets rich by being stupid. The penthouse is the only full-floor apartment in the building, and you'd be living on top of notables such as Beyonce, Jack Welch, Brian Williams and Johnny Damon. Our favorite feature besides the nightly take-out from Le Cirque? The twin 1,100-square-foot terraces, for when you get bored with one view and need another. We tried to get the floorplan up here, but it had so many nooks and crannies that it looked like an ant farm. Do check out the listing for yourself.
