We hesitate to appear to be jumping on a bandwagon, given the attention garnered by the celebrity studed anti-Atlantic Yards advisory board, but Forest City Ratner's Atlantic Yards marketing material that went out last week seems to have stirred up multiple cauldrons of, um, opposition.
Case in point, actress T. Sahara Meer, who appears in the brochure with a big grin, being kissed. Ms. Meer told the Brooklyn Paper that she posed for a photographer who subsequently sold the photo to Forest City Ratner. She calls being included in the pro-arena material "one of the most nightmarish experiences of my life," adding that "I have become Bruce Ratner's poster girl."
The actress lives in Prospect Heights, adjoining the mega-development and her window apparently sports a "Stop Eminent Domain Abuse" sign.
