Oh little strip of West Side Manhattan?from 100th to 110th?whatever shall we call thee? Lower Morningside Heights? Far UWS? Manhattan Valley? This brow-furrowing conundrum is raised anew by the Post's decision to go with Bloomingdale in one of their neighborhood profiles this week. Sure, the name may be on the local library and that music school, but does anyone actually say, "I live in Bloomingdale," without others thinking you're being funny or admitting your shopping addiction or something? Of course, with studio rents as low as $1,295, you might have more money left over to engage in healthy amounts of retail therapy.
