Tiffany's Cozying Up to the Bankers at Work

Another luxury retailer known for its East Side flagship is gathering up some of its tchotchkes and heading downtown to open a shop on Wall Street. First, Hermes. Now, Tiffany. The jeweler will be the sole retailer at 37 Wall Street, filling the ground floor and mezzanine, spread across some 7,600 square feet. Skyline Developers is currently converting the 1906 Beaux-Arts pile into a 373-unit rental building. The apartments are supposedly going to be ready by this fall, but don't expect a proliferation of robin's-egg bags among the bulls and bears until the fall of '07.
