Perhaps future residents of the Atelier?those brave settlers of far West 42nd Street?won't seem so crazy after all, at least as long as plans for the No. 7 train westward extension continue chugging along. The Daily News today has it that construction on the project could begin as soon as the end of the year, clearing the way for a 2012 completion date. (Remember the long-ago significance of that year?) Jets stadium or no, the city's moving forward with plans to develop the Hudson Yards acreage below the Javits Center, and having a train nearby won't hurt. Oh, and since we knew you were wondering, "hudsonyardsreport.blogspot.com" is still available for any enterprising West Chelsea activist bloggers out there.
