Brooklyn Back in the Day: Crack and Biowarfare

From a blog called JeepBastard comes a look at Fort Greene around the Brooklyn Academy of Music in the era of crack dealers and...biological warfare. Well, the bio warfare part is the blogger's detailed speculation, but the Bad Old Days pictures of BAM's nabe are cool. The blogger says that something curious once went on at 80 Hanson Place in the building that now houses MoCADA, the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts. Maybe. (According to the Times, 80 Hanson once housed a medical testing facility.) Or, possibly, it's just an interesting Brooklyn urban legend.
