CurbedWire: Nexus Dreams Become Reality

· You no longer have to sleep outside to be a resident at the Nexus in Dumbo (right). A tipster informs us, "I think people have finally started moving into the nexus. When walking buy you can see lamps, flowers, etc. in the windows and non-construction workers coming out of the lobby. The second wave is on its way." [CurbedWire Inbox]

· The Stuy Town rent hikes continue, with a reader informing us their rent "just went up 25% for next year. Actually, it's 25.3% for that extra little bit of fun." Meanwhile the ST/PCV message board still bubbles with chat about the increases. [CurbedWire Inbox]

· A CurbedWire update of yesterday's trench collapse in Park Slope where two brothers were injured. NY1 reports that "the city buildings department has slapped a stop work order on the construction site," adding, "owner and contractor Andrew Feinman also faces violations for failing to secure the site, demolishing without a permit, and performing work that wasn't approved." We also learn the injuries weren't another gentrification wound, the site is the future home of a warehouse. [CurbedWire Inbox/NY1]
