In our entry about the less-than-inspiring early stages of 8 Union Square South, we expressed our disappointment that there was no sign of the exciting "installation of moving lights that will grace the crown of the building." But lo! Perhaps we should have "held our horses." While snooping around the website of architect Arpad Baksa in search of more Hit Factory info, we came across the two 8USS renderings seen above, the night version clearly showing this so-called installation of moving lights. Now that that's taken care of, let us say this: We're still kind of underwhelmed. Maybe we just prefer stupid steam-exhaling sculpture and ugly clocks when it comes to Union Square public art.
