After all the recent Red Hook hype, Curbed ventured into Red Hook on Saturday and, among other things, captured this image of a woman in heavy duty rain gear wearing Nemo as a hat. She was standing at the end of Van Brunt Street next to the new Fairway where a small lake always forms during heavy rain, playing with a battery powered toy boat. Gotta love that Red Hook maritime tradition and working waterfront spirit. The trolleys in the background, by the way, are left over from an attempt to link Red Hook to the rest of Brooklyn by trolley.
