Public School Twofer: Bklyn Court, Ground Zero

Get out your No. 2 and pencil in two school projects, one slightly further along than the other.

1) Downtown Brooklyn: The 143,950-square-foot city-owned building vacated by Family Court last summer will become home to two new high schools for about 500 students a piece, which will likely cater to particular career goals. Officials are eyeing September 2008 for a move-in date. [NYDN]
2) WTC Site: Things are less certain on this one, but there's talk of putting a new intermediate school in the residential Tower 5 at the redeveloped World Trade Center. Of course, the shrouded Deutsche Bank building's going to have to get outta the way first before anything can happen. As of now, they're throwing around 2012 and 2013 as likely dates for completion.
