Development Du Jour: Solaria

You're looking at what'll be the tallest building in Riverdale when it's done. Solaria's its name and "Manhattan-quality" living is its game, according to the president of Marketing Directors, which is handling the, uh, marketing of this 20-story building at 236th Street and Hudson Parkway West.

It's so high, in fact, this 65-unit development exists in its own realm, "the mythical Riverdale Heights," notes a Curbed reader, who clicked on Location/Neighborhood at the main site to find that gem. He goes on: "It doesn't say so on the site, but the billboards at the MetroNorth stop say that 2-5 Bds start from the low $900's! That's only 500-600K more than 2bd co-ops in the same neighborhood ... cheap!" That's higher than the $650,000 starting price quoted here (25th down), but the Sun does say that the five-bedrooms range up to $3.75 million, so we can't say we're all that surprised.
