Floorplan Porn Deluxe Edition: Lachlan's 11 Spring Dreams

Word that media scion Lachlan Murdoch has sold Nolita's famed 11 Spring Street brings a certain sadness, especially now that we've got our hands on exclusive renderings and schematics from Asfour Guzy Architects of what Lachlan had in store for the place.

We begin above, on the basement level, which it seems was slated to become a private swimming hole. Hit the jump and ascend with us, won't you, all the way to the roof? Without doubt, this is floorplan porn at its very, very finest.

Floors 1 and 2: Given that 11 Spring was first built as a horse stable, the reintroduction of a garage seems appropriate. Also, count along together: that's two staff bedrooms, plus a nanny bedroom. Oh, and some poor guest relegated to slumming it with the help.

Floor 3: Here we have the start of the Murdoch's residential glory. Note the beginning of the grand stairwell the architects describe thusly: "A four-story sky-lit staircase and elevator core organize the project’s program by connecting the main bedroom suites of the third floor with a casual family room at the penthouse level."

Floor 4: Us, we'd have gone with a full-width family room—to hell with that micro-office and extra random (bath?)room—but we'll take the kitchen, walk-in dishwasher and all.

Floor 5: Ah, here's that full-width living space we were imagining. Do check out the cut-away view of the library. The paneling stretches to the top of the extra-high ceiling. And one of those cute ladders that just screams "I ain't living in Daddy's shadow any longer!"

Penthouse Level: Oh hell yes. With micro-pantry to keep the wine nice and chill, and the requisite outdoor space.

Click through to the Asfour Guzy site for a few more cutaway views. We'd imagine the new purchaser could score these designs for at least half-off, no?
