That's right, the sexily named "outboard detour roadway" beside FDR Drive (above), which is currently taking up some of your East River eyeball space, might just become "a permanent pedestrian and bicycle way," under one option being explored by the city's parks department. Kudos to StreetsBlog for uncovering this tidbit from a weekly transportation bulletin. However, the plan's still majorly up in the air?out on the river??so others are advised not to finalize their Turtle Bay loitering plans just yet.
