Here are some pictures of the soon-to-be new Diane von Furstenberg complex on 14th Street. They're dropping the grand staircase through the roof by crane!This is, of course, the old Gachot & Gachot meatpacking building across the street from Jeffrey that received community board approval for its makeover into DVF's headquarters in the waning days of '04. Still to come: a 16-foot rooftop glass addition "modeled after a piece of jewelry she designed for jeweler H. Stern." ETA for the wrap party at the corner of 14th and Washington is September, though folks have been jonesing for an opening since at least the spring. More up-up-and-away on the other side of the link.
