On the Roof #2: Rooftop Floorplan Porn at LOFTS1

No, this isn't the floorplan for a particularly studio-centric building. Rather, it's the plan for the roof at the warehouse conversion LOFTS1 at 242 South 1st Street in Williamsburg. There seems to be about one outdoor plot for each apartment in the new development, but from what we can discern, the rooftop space must be purchased separately. Credit for this genius new trend is due to Dumbo's famed 70 Washington, no? (If not, who deserves our rooftop innovator award?)

Meantime, a friend of Curbed notes about LOFTS1—another Robert Scarano/Andres Escobar collaboration, natch—"about $750/psf seems a little steep, but then again it's a newly constructed loft condo." Roof sold separately.
