Eater Tastings: Liquor? We Hardly Knew Her

More of this week's good dish from the Curbed/SLNY NYC restaurant blog Eater...

1) Mehanata, aka Bulgarian Bar, is having some trouble immigrating to the Lower East Side, a neighborhood which, according to an email from the bar's owners, is no longer safe for Eastern Europeans who want to drink.
2) It's a shame, really, because Mehanata seems like it would be a nice place to wash down a pierogi from Veselka, which is about to tear off the plywood in the park on 1st and A.
3) Meanwhile, Community Board 2 dropped the hammer on a number of establishments looking to fill West Siders with food and drink, including a new 14th St. offering from the gang behind Ruby Falls.
4) Finally, some good news for boozehounds. Wolfgang Tribeca has gotten its liquor license and is off and running.
