After surprising East Villagers with the onset of demolition this morning, the Catholic Archdiocese says it won't sell the St. Brigid's church space to condo or dormitory developers. "The property is not on the market and we have no interest in selling it," Spokesperson Joe Zwilling told the Village Voice. "It will be used for some other form of ministry, whether for educational or charitable or healthcare purposes, possibly senior housing."
