Supersizing Williamsburg: Pictures and Maps

Yesterday, we had a preview image of the way Williamsburg might look if a proposal from Quadriad Development goes forward. Today, we have the full picture courtesy of onNYTurf, which provides renderings based on the proposal itself by mashing up photos of buildings that fit the developer's specifications and photos of the neighborhood. A fun map with photos and major Williamsburg development sites is also posted. The developer is proposing to build on seven blocks between Bedford Avenue and Kent Avenue, between N. 3rd Street and N. 6th Street. The site for Williamsburgh Square is being cleared, although the block would have to be re-rezoned to allow towers up to 30 or 40 stories tall.
