Fifty-three and counting. The 21st century death march of the New York City gas station continues, as a tipster sends photographic proof that another gas station has closed. This one is on the corner of 42nd St. and 11th Ave.; no word on what will be going onto the site.
Is it too coincidental that this closing coincides with the mayor's plan for the city of the future that will include "greening boulevards, protected bike lanes, Sunday closings, and pedestrian reclamations" and fewer cars? Hmmmm.
