Curbed BuildingCrasher: Hester Gardens

Over in Little Chitaly, we're hearing that the once-controversial Hester Gardens?so heavily debated that it caused a crisis of conscience amongst readers?is progressing at a nice clip. A Curbed reader went to check out the building, and he filed this report:

I scheduled an appointment with the broker and went to see some apartments this past saturday. There are still apartments available. Majority of them are the penthouse apartments that are 875k (771 square feet 2 bed, 1 bath with 60 sq ft of outdoor space) - to 1.675 (2 bed, 2 bath 1425 square feet + 60 square feet of outdoor space). The building representatives told me that they have receieved the CO and can close immediately. My opinion of the apartment is that the floor to ceiling windows really make the apartment feel airy, which have pretty nice furnishings and appliances. There is also a backyard garden for apartments facing the back that looks pretty nice.No word on the raunchy congestion, but this will have to suffice for now. More pics from inside the building after the jump.
