Inbox Dump #4: The Brokers Cometh

As we continue the wholesale emptying of our email inbox, some news from our friends on the brokerage side of the game...

1) "Not sure of all the details but was just informed by a ex-coworker at Fenwick-Keats that they have 'merged' or been bought out by Goodstein Residential/Management. Fenwick will be closing their East Side office and agents must choose a different office to go to." N.B. rumor totally unverified.

2) "Now here is a juicy one. SHVO is hiring!!! This person sent this e-mail to some of her 'friends'... How I received this beats me as I don't even know the person. Lesson to learn, never send an e-mail like this to all your 'friends'." Select job listings after the jump.

3) "I started my own real estate weblog at greenbaumgroup.blogspot.com that will follow the transformation of the Lincoln Center Area. I was inspired by your website which I love."

We are actively pursuing leads to staff up in the following capacities: VP of Marketing: Marketing professional with 7 to 10 years experience to guide day-to-day. Knowledge of the entire luxury marketing mix including advertising, collateral, website development, media planning/buying and production is necessary. Candidate should have strong managerial skills, per timeline and budgets, and be ready to enter an entrepreneurial environment that has helped raised the creative bar industry wide. Fashion, luxury and retail backgrounds are perfect fit.

Director of Business Development: Business Development professional with 7+ years experience (J.D. a plus) and a progressive track record of prospecting new business. Candidate will take a leadership role in the identification, sourcing, and closing of Exclusive and Marketing Agreements and/or JV opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with developers and brokers to originate new business, lead teams of professionals to analyze and qualify targeted developments, due diligence, and close deals, lead negotiation of transaction agreements.

Director of Human Resources: In this generalist role, candidate will be responsible for overall management of the Human Resources function. Specific duties include development and administration of human resources policies and procedures (ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, as well as with company polices and procedures, maintain company and departmental organizational charts, maintain employee manual, maintain proprietary information systems), staffing,
(facilitate hiring process, supporting managers in all aspects of recruiting, compile job descriptions), performance management system, compensation and benefits. The candidate must have 5 to 7 years of experience and must have experience recruiting for creative positions.

Project Managers: Candidate will oversee and implement the details of a
development project from its initial concept, through the design-development phase where unit mix, amenity package, and floor plan layouts are refined, through the marketing process where a project's branding and positioning take shape, to the opening of the sales office by performing the following tasks: analyze market to create value for real estate development; possess an in-depth understanding of the luxury residential market, of the importance of exceptional architecture and design, of services and amenities that our target market demands; stay informed about upcoming design trends, technology and materials; foresight to forecast a trend; examine and assemble a team of architects and designers that best suits our target group; consult on target buyers, unit mix, apartment layouts, fixtures, finishes, amenity space design and amenity packages; liaise with all parties involved in a
project and manage their contribution; manage the project timeline and
process/progress of services; articulate design alternatives as necessary in light of market changes; obtain, evaluate and present proposals from vendors and amenity partners; and produce Schedule A / assist in offering plan submission. Candidates must have 5+ years experience in architecture or interior design with knowledge of real estate fundamentals.

Media Manager: Candidate should have 5 to 7 years of experience with in Media Planning/Buying. Strategic brand capabilities are essential. Candidate will be responsible for trafficking all project ads, review of ads for required legal, media input and oversight of media plans for all building projects, media planning and buying for special projects, approval of all advertising corporate billing and provide invoices to accounting for prompt payments.
