Urban Wildlife Update No. 1: Carroll Gardens Lizard

No joke. Via the Brooklyn Record, we have this "approximately three-foot long iguana" that's been hanging in trees between Smith, Douglass, Degraw, and Hoyt streets. Since the photo was taken, someone claims to have captured the reptile and brought him/her indoors to temporarily hang out in a bathtub and somone has responded to one of the "Iguana Found" posters up around the nabe. Prank, hoax, real lounging lizard? Who knows, but it's definitely different.

UPDATE: You can see follow-up photos of the iguana in a new post, which says it is "as real as you can get." No one has stepped forward to claim it yet, though.
