Just landed: breaking gourmet grocery news from the left coast. A tipster files this report from the Bank of America investment conference in San Francisco, where Whole Foods presented its plan for organic overconsumption:
The president/COO was giving an overview of the new store openings, and in addition to the store planned for Greenwich & Warren in Tribeca (which he said was opening sometime in the first quarter of next year), he confirmed that the store on Bowery & Houston in the Avalon Chrystie would be opening in April. He also let it be known they would be opening their first London store on Kensington High Street sometime in June. Not sure how much of this is public yet, but thought I'd pass it along.Holy shit! Kensington High Street. Never saw it coming.
