Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Fashionable 40 Bond

1) You know that Ian Schrager isn't going to fill 40 Bond with boring financial types, right? Of course not. This is his baby, and he wants people like famed fashion photographer Mario Testino to move in. And it's working! Testino is buying a three-bedroom condo in the building for $6 million. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
2) So just how rich is the dude who created Arthur? The answer: crazy, crazy rich. Marc Brown and his wife like to buy expensive Manhattan properties and make them even more expensive through painstaking and detailed restorations and renovations. Right now they're working on a four-story 1842 townhouse West 11th Street (bought for $3.95 million), and selling this five-story Jay Street loft for $15.8 million. All this, from an aardvark! [Josh Barbanel/Big Deal]
3) It certainly took a while, but Calypso legend Harry Belafonte finally found a buyer for his half-family/half-party West End Avenue co-op. Belafonte has owned the gigantic six-bedroom apartment for almost 50 years (must be why it needs "updating", and it was originally listed in 2005 for $15 million. It fell to $11.75 million before finally finding a buyer. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
4) The preacher son of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker moves to Williamsburg, gets scammed on lease, disses hipsters. [Intelligencer]
