The Great Wall of the Upper East Village can now be yours, friends. More than a year after the Green Monster went up on 13th Street and First Avenue, surrounding a four-story walk-up that has a bit of the ol' structural damage, the whole site has been put up for sale. In the time since this ordeal began, the block has gained a bakery, lost the blogger who wrote about it (to Dumbo, no less) and seen the building directly across the street get almost entirely demolished and rebuilt. Surely when this finally gets sold and torn down, it will be the city's poster-hanging street teams that feel the most pain.
