Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Naomi Grabs the Scissors

1) "Maid-mauling mannequin" Naomi Campbell (those are Braden Keil's words; we choose not to try to top them) had a date with the ol' PriceChopper. Her Park Ave. duplex penthouse is now listed at $4.95 million, down $300,000 from June. The 3,100-square-foot condo has a double-height living room and a weird "floating" master bedroom right above. She bought it for $3.9 million in 2005 from Giuseppe Cipriani, which explains this. Sorta. [Gimme Shelter/Braden Keil]
2) New York Rangers backliner and penalty magnet Darius Kasparaitus (not a disease) paid $2.14 million for a condo on a top floor at 205 East 59th Street. Maybe he'll seek a calmer, more zen-like existence in the mosaic garden. [Big Deal/Josh Barbanel]
3) Corcoran broker Wendy Maitland is throwing a celeb-studded $1,000-per-plate dinner to raise money to fight poverty and AIDS in a Rwandan village. The party will be at the penthouse at 50 Bond Street, a property conveniently on the market for $7.5 million. Scheduled to attend: Julianne Moore, Matt Dillon, Marisa Tomei, Naomi Watts, Hillary Swank, Drew Barrymore and others. Come for the kids, leave with a condo.
