So, the wrapping came off a few days ago at the Aqua Condo in Greenpoint (you know, "Poolside Living"). In addition to revealing the building for the first time, we found a, uh, powerboat sitting atop some scaffolding still standing over the sidewalk. To paraphrase a neighborhood resident passing by, WTF? Construction workers with a sense of humor? Marketing gimmick? Getting a jump on rising sea levels? The only thing we can say for sure is that a quick look reveals that only three apartments shown on the Aqua website have sold, which either means that the PriceChopper cometh in '07 or the lure of living in a $700K condo next to a loud concert venue isn't as anticipated.
