A couple of Max Abelson's items in this week's Manhattan Transfers column are worthy of mention, but when there's a Schrager sighting, we have to drop everything and focus in on that. Above, you see the eighth-floor sponsor unit in the Ian Schrager/Aby Rosen/Michael Fuchs-developed 50 Gramercy Park North, suddenly?dramatically!?on the market for a cool $14.5 million. Corcoran's Dennis Mangone has the listing, and boy, it's quite the listing (just $1.5 million less than the penthouse). The original selling price of this full-floor 4,700-square-foot pad? $9.06 million. The seller? Well, well, well...Michael Fuchs himself! Dude is trying to flip in his own development and come out with $5.5 million in extra bounty? That's a man we can learn to love.
