EAST VILLAGE?This rant about our friend One Ten 3rd came to us with the subject line "110 Third World," which gives an indication of what is to come: "Good God – I was driving up Third Ave this morning and couldn’t believe what a refugee camp 110 Third looks like. The combinations of temporary blinds, newspaper, toilet paper, flannel shirts and KFC bags trying to cover the windows was simply shocking! Sure it’s a condorminium but c’mon already." Too soon to blame the renters, though. [CurbedWire Inbox]
NOLITA?On the square footage front, a tipster does some recalculation of the math on a $6.7 million apartment at 11 Spring Street and concludes that "it would be a whopping $3200 at the cited 2085 square feet. But it gets worse when one realizes that the unit is considerably smaller. Just look at the floorplan. A generous measurement would yield something more like 1200 square feet. Wow! A sucker is born everyday in the Manhattan real estate market." [CurbedWire Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG?There is more activity on the very active block of N. 3rd Street between Berry and Wythe that is home to the Mill Building and to the new-to-market 100 N3 Lofts. A tipster reports that a renovation of 103 N. 3rd is now underway, which will add 41 units to the N. 3rd Street condo pool. [CurbedWire Inbox]
