And now, the latest from Racked, covering retail and shopping from the sidewalks up.
1) FiDi: Racked had the crowds and the merchandise and the inside look at the new Tiffany FiDi outpost. From the on-the-scene report: "VIPs exiting with gift bags. Doors are open to public early! Mood somber but people seem intrigued. Plunging in."
2) Midtown: As if the news about the possible new edgy Williamsburg Apple outpost isn't enough to digest for one week, there are also some juicy renderings of that unbuilt Apple store at West 34th Street and Sixth Avenue. The renderings were found on the website of Ismael Leyva Architects and show a 30-story building with three stories of steel-and-glass at the bottom sporting an Apple logo. Enjoy.
3) Williamsburg: New York Adorned, the East Village tattoo parlor/jewelry store now has an outpost on Bedford Avenue. Merchandise is said to be on the way to join the tattoos, meanwhile, "if you live in Williamsburg and do not yet have a tattoo, well, this would be a good place to get inked."
4) West Village: If Marc Jacobs can't spook Village residents by taking over the neighborhood, there's always Halloween.
