Anyone that thought a judge's decision capping the height of the notorious half-built Finger Building in Williamsburg was the final word, was wrong. The Finger Fight shifted today to the obscure city agency known as the Board of Standards and Appeals. They were expected to rule that the Finger--which needs new building permits to be completed at any height--could go forward. A special correspondent reports that the BSA decided to keep thinking about it instead:
The BSA has asked that the decision on 144 N 8th AKA the Finger Building continue on November 20th. Apparently, strong community and political opposition has delayed the BSA's apparent pre-meeting decision to allow the project to go forward. And so, it continues.
