Behold the Brooklyn MuniMall in All Its Glory

New, 9 comments

This is what one might call the Brooklyn MuniMall. It's a vision for 44,000 square feet of retail space in the Brooklyn Municipal Building on Joralemon Street that was mentioned earlier this week and might be in a landmark "Skyscraper District." The space currently holds a Finance Department payment center and the Brooklyn office of the City Clerk. The intersection is said to have the same level of pedestrian traffic during the day as 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue, which could mean bye bye brides, hello Bed, Bath & Beyond. Maybe the Clerk can get a spot in the nearby Jail with Retail?
