The Coney Island front has been oddly quiet the last couple of weeks with no further word of a deal to keep Astroland going for another year and a make-or-break zoning plan reveal delayed (again) until the end of October. Coney Island USA, however, has hung a rendering of its new, improved self on the side of the its building, according to the Coney blog Kinetic Carnival. (Note the entrance through the mouth.) It's the new Coney Island USA Arts Center. The group went from being a renter in the building to owning it earlier this year. It would be one of the handful of existing structures to survive the Thor Equities hammer.
