The building rising in the distance that can now be seen from the F Train as it runs through Carroll Gardens or easily from the Gowanus Expressway? Trick or treat: It's the 11-story Karl Fischer condo at 100 Luquer Street that has been called both a "monstrosity" in a spot that one of our readers once referred to as "the ass-crack of Carroll Gardens." Mr. Fischer's first major Carroll Gardens-Red Hook building, which adjoins the entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and a BQE on-ramp, is currently clocking in at about seven of its 11 stories.
