It's been a tough go recently for the proud East Village residents of 13th Street. The crippling Time Warner cable/Internet outage is currently headed toward its 20th hour, which is bad enough as it is, but apparently a crapload of garbage is also being dumped onto the sidewalks without regard to proper garbage disposal protocol. How do we know? Because one concerned resident has blanketed the south side of the block between Second and Third Avenues with these flyers. The north side is occupied by the famed East Village Mystery Lot. Hard times for this unappreciated stretch of 13th Street that's been victimized by other dumpings, but we do love that Clip Art. We await a response from these so-called "new neighbors"... once they get the Internet back.
