And now, the latest from Racked, covering retail and shopping from the sidewalks up.
1) Soho: The blanket coverage of the Coming of Muji to Broadway continues with cool photos of the "clean and bright interior that will serve as a perfect backdrop for the retailer's stripped-down, minimalistic goods." It is, indeed, a very exciting time to be alive in New York City.
2) Soho: In case you missed the Racked Exclusive yesterday, we will direct attention to it right now: the British clothing chain Topshop is opening its first stateside store at 478 Broadway, taking the place of neighborhood landmark Yellow Rat Bastard. No word on openings, but Muji and CB2 should be enough to carry us through the holidays.
3) West Village: Staples is moving into a big, vacant space atop the West Fourth subway stop on Sixth Avenue between 8th Street and Waverly Place. It's the chain's 23rd Manhattan store and Racked says it will be one of their new COPY AND PRINT concept stores, featuring an expanded selection of printing services.
4) Soho: Back in Soho again, we must say that the Vivienne Tam Soho flagship on Mercer is looking pretty hot.
