Whatcha gonna do ... when the Stop Work Order Patrol comes for you?! That's right, our favorite new vigilante street force, brought to you by the Department of Buildings, is expanding its operations. Today it was announced that the SWO Patrol has begun sweeping Manhattan construction sites looking for violators of existing Stop Work Orders. The penalties they hand out for illegal construction range from $2,000-$10,000, just enough to cause Manhattan developers to think twice about ordering that third bottle of Lafitte while dining on furniture made from stolen Nazi art. The Stop Work Order Patrol is now operating in every borough.
